World Book Day – 7th March

Over the last 16 years World Book Day has become firmly established as one of Ireland’s biggest events promoting the enjoyment of books and reading. The 7th of March 2013 is World Book Day and artists Alan Shoosmith and Krystyna Pomeroy will facilitate workshops to promote reading in a fun way for young book lovers on different days in five branch libraries. National School classes and their teachers are invited to come along to some of Clare’s branch libraries dressed as their favourite book characters, which they will re-create on paper under the professional advice of two of Clare’s best-known artists.
